Rabindra Prasad Adhikari, minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, promised to announce 11th August as the National Dance Day from 2019 as per the press statement released by Dance Direction Association .
Sanjay Sharma Rajopadhyay, acting president of Dance Direction Association urged the people not to portray artists as just entertainers. He said, “Artists are national treasures, and they should be respected.”
The traditional Raja Rani of Banepa, live dhimey performance of Lalitpur, and Chamunda Khaijedi of Kavre were performed in the event by various sectors of Dance Direction Association, alongside students of different schools and colleges on the occasion of the proclamation program
