Metromint bottled water 'unhygienic'

KATHMANDU, May 3: The government has urged people not consume Metromint brand of bottled water which is being distributed as relief to flood victims saying that it is unhygienic. Metromint is the product of Dhanusha-based DS Polytechnik.

A statement issued by Department of Food Technology and Quality Control said lab test of sample of Metromint showed that the brand is unsuitable for consumption. DoFTQC has also directed the bottling plant to immediately stop production and distribution of Metromint brand of bottled water.
