Media house vandal in police net

DAMAK, July 14: Police have nabbed a person involved in vandalizing the office of Peoples Times Newspaper in Damak of Jhapa.



Akash Rai of Damak-14 was arrested by a patrol police team on Tuesday night. He was rounded up for his alleged involved in several criminal incidents. He had been at large.



A murder attempt case was filed against him for trying to kill a man in 2068 BS. Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) Rajan Adhikari had enquired Rai in connection with the case on Wednesday night, said the district police office sources. [break]



Police have intensified search for others involved in media house vandalism.



A group led by Rai on Monday evening had vandalized the account section of the media house. Media-related organizations have demanded legal action against the vandals.
