Pradip Khadka of Satbariya -8 Rihar and Binit Khadka of Satbariya-5 Gojhena have been seriously injured in the incident. The Maoists had used sharp weapons including khukuris in the attack, the police said.
The injured were rushed to Nepalgunj for treatment Friday morning. Police said Pradip, who was critically injured, has been airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment. He has received deep head injuries.
Man Singh Oli, a local, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The victims are nephews of NC leader Khum Bahadur Khadka.
