POKHARA, April 7: Cadres of Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) Monday evening have thrashed Nepali Congress cadres campaigning for April 10 by-elections. NC cadres came under Maoist attack when they arrived at Pulchowk of Thumki Village Development Committee Monday evening, Nepali Congress Kaski said.
UML cadres injured in NC-UML clash
At least five people including Padam Bahadur Gurung, Ghanashyam Khadka, Bhakta Bahadur BK, Chitra Bahadur Khadka and Krishna Bahadur Gurung were injured in the Maoists’ attack. All the five injured are receivivng treatment at Western Regional Hopital, after their CT Scan was conducted at Manipal Hospital. Of them, Krishna Bahadur was seriously injured in the attack.
Nepali Congress has taken the attack a ploy of the Maoists not to let the elections to be free and fair.
