KATHMANDU: Activists of the Maoist Victims’ Association briefly padlocked the main gates of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) at Pulchowk on Monday afternoon.
“They locked the gates to draw the attention of concerned authorities over their plight,” NHRC Spokesperson Gauri Pradhan told myrepublica.com after holding talks with the representatives of the victims.

“They told us they are not against the rights watchdog body but they want it to be more effective and vocal,” Pradhan added.
