CHITWAN, June 30: Maoist Chairman and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal arrived in Chitwan without prior announcement Tuesday. He reached Chitwan soon after the end of the party´s politburo meeting.

“He has come here to meet family members,” a Maoist source said. Earlier, Dahal met with the district party representatives and Maoist cadres at Hotel Royal Century in Bharatpur. Dahal is scheduled to visit Shivanagar on Wednesday morning.

Dahal used to live in Shivanagar earlier. Some of his cousins live there, but his father, brother and sisters live in Bharatpur. Although he did not come for his father´s 84th birthday, this time he is said to have come here to relax with his family after a week-long politburo meeting. The party´s central committee meeting is scheduled to start on July 4.
