Man dies from beating

KATHMANDU, May 27: A man who was mercilessly thrashed by locals for allegedly swindling a businessman, died during treatment at Bir Hospital on Tuesday night. Locals had handed Sanu Sunar, 46, of Godavari, over to Kalimati police after beating him up at Balkhu on Monday.



According to police, Sanu complained of severe headache at custody on Monday night and was taken to Bir Hospital where he had a surgery of his head. He died the next day.



Police later arrested Bishnu Kapri, the businessman, acting on a complaint lodged by Sunwar´s family, which demands Kapri should be tried on murder charge.
