According to Federal Socialist Forum Nepal (FSFN) Co-chairman Rajendra Shrestha, a meeting of the 15 parties within Federal Alliance on Tuesday decided to preserve the strength until then to launch new protest.
"We will stage a protest in Kathmandu on March 19 and in different districts till the second week of April but the protest will be massive and we'll establish it as next mass movement (popular movement)," said Shrestha.
The United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF), which staged general strikes and border blockage for five months, recently withdrew the harsh form of protest.
The UDMF on Friday had submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. UDMF leaders handed over the memo to PM Oli with 7-point demand incorporating issues of constitution amendment, treatment to the injured in Madhes protest and controlling black marketing among others.
On the seven-point demands, the UDMF has reiterated that there should be two autonomous provinces in Tarai-Madhes as per the report of the State Restructuring Commission and the agreements made with the Madhesis, indigenous and marginalized communities.

Likewise, the UDMF, expressing discontent over the recent amendment to the new constitution, reiterated ensuring inclusive representation of different communities in state bodies.
