Addressing a function organized by Embassy of India and B P Koirala Foundation to release a book Samvedana Ke Swar, a collection of poems translated into Hindi, on Friday, the ambassador briefed about the works done by the Embassy of India and B.P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation especially in culture, and literary and academic areas. He also stressed on exchanging literary works from Nepal to India and vice versa.
The book was released by National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire and Indian envoy Rae. Various dignitaries like Secretary General of SAARC, Arjun Bahadur Thapa and Chancellor of Nepal Academy of Music and Drama Saru Bhakta, among others, were present on the occasion.
The poems of Dinesh Adhikari were translated into Hindi by Dr. Ganga Prasad Akela. The translation was supported by B. P. Koirala India-Nepal Foundation and has been published by Raj Kamal Prakashan, New Delhi.
National Poet Ghimire shared his experiences for writing the poems and he recited some of the poems in Hindi. He thanked B. P. Koirala India- Nepal Foundation for its contribution for such noble works. Envoy said that the translation of Rastra Kavi will add an asset to strengthening Indo-Nepal relations.
Embassy of India and B.P. Koirala Foundation has supported the publication of Laxmi Prasad Devkota ko Nibandh in Hindi and translation and publication of Gitanjali into Nepali. The translation of Sitayan from Maithili into Hindi and English is also being carried out with the support of the B.P.Koirala Foundation.
