BANEPA, June 20: Locals of Dolalghat on Sunday released 71 buses of Araniko Yatayat which they had taken under control since Saturday after beginning talks with the bus committee.

The locals have been demanding compensation to the family of Ashok Majhi, 13, who died on June 13 at a hospital in Kathmandu after falling from a bus associated with the committee four days earlier.

The locals and the boy´s relatives, led by former minister of state for labor Govinda Nath Uprety, had kept the buses on the bank of the Koshi river across Dolalghat demanding compensation. They released the buses after the committee put it as a precondition for dialogues.
