Leaders divided over CA reinstatement

KATHMANDU, Oct. 12: Prime Minister´s political advisor Devendra Poudel has urged the political parties to reach to consensus on reinstating the Constituent Assembly.



Speaking at the Reporters´ Club Nepal here today, he said the nation could not get a way out to the existing crisis due to political parties´ unclear views on the issues of CA reinstatement or the new election.



Similarly, CPN (UML) Vice Chairperson Bidyadevi Bhandari said there was no alternative for the political parties to going for fresh elections under the leadership of all-party national consensus government.



Likewise, Nepali Congress leader Gopalman Shrestha underlined the need of a government of national consensus to reinstate the CA.



Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party (TMLP) leader Jitendra Sunar said his party has opened a door for two options- reinstatement of the CA or opting for new election- to end political and constitutional crisis in the country.



Coordinator of the Madhesi Youth Forum, Sanjay Saha stressed the need of resurrecting the CA to settle the disputed issues through a democratic process.

Similarly, leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-N) Keshar Bahadur Bista opined that it would be wrong to revive the dissolved CA
