BIRGUNJ, Oct 10: Lawmaker Baban Singh began fast unto death in front of Rautahat District Administration Office demanding infrastructure development and an end to corruption.
Singh began his hunger strike from 1 pm on Monday. He has put forward various eight demands that include putting a check on the misuse of money provided by Parliamentary Development Fund and corruption in hospitals among others.[break]
"I started the fast unto death demanding immediate investigation into corruption rampant in various parts of the district," Singh said, adding, "I will continue until something is done to check corruption."
Chief District Office Hari Raj Pantha said that the administration is seriously considering the issues raised by Singh.
