KATHMANDU, Sept 17: Save the Children has prepared a musical tryst with Kutumba in Baglung, Pokhara, Dhangadi and Kathmandu in order to effectively reach the maximum people with its ‘Every One’ campaign. [break]

The organization hopes to aid the Millennium Development Goal 5 by encouraging people to make sure no child under the age of five dies from preventable causes, states the press release.

David Wright, Country Director of Save the Children, said, “As a society, we cannot tolerate the needless loss of 50 innocent lives every day. We must join hands to ensure that no child is born to die.”

Kutumba will be performing in Baglung on September 21, in Pokhara on September 22 and in Dhangadi on September 24, and these concerts will be free while the concert in Kathmandu on October 4 will be a fundraiser. The funds will be added with that of Kathmandu Kora cycling event held in July to build a model eco-friendly birthing center in Sharmali VDC, Baitadi district.

The event is supported by Chaudhary Group.
