Likewise, New Horizon School, Bhairahawa thrashed the host Greenland Children Academy, Kathmandu by 54 runs in another group stage match played at the Pulchowk Ground on Wednesday. New Horizon put up 107/9 in 20 overs and bowled out Greenland for 53 runs in 16.2 overs.
Taking four wickets of New Horizon, Manish Thapa had given a hope to Greenland but man-of-the-match Bishan Thapa claimed four wickets in reply and sealed the victory for the team from Bhairahawa.
Meanwhile, Army School, Bhaktapur defeated DAV School, Jawalakhel by seven wickets in a group stage match played at the Army School´s ground on Wednesday. Army School restricted DAV at 100/7 in 20 overs and met the target in 17.5 overs losing only three wickets. Man-of-the-match Arjun Bhusal took three wickets to script the victory of Army School.
Greenland Children Academy Higher Secondary School has organized the tournament, which features eight Nepali and four Indian school-level teams. It is the first school-level tournament with cash prize in Nepal.
