The campaign has been concluded by cleaning up the street in front of Tilganga Eye Hospital and the Bagmati River nearby.
The Prime Minister had opened the campaign by cleaning the street before the Constituent Assembly building on April 6. Various parts of Kathmandu were cleaned up as a part of the campaign. [break]
Talking to journalists after attending the clean-up campaign, Prime Minister Dr. Bhattarai said the culture of carrying out one´s works by own has been initiated, which is good beginning in itself.
The campaign has tried to impart message of keeping neat, clean and beautiful Kathmandu, he said, ´Village, city and nation should be made clean keeping the feelings of volunteerism. We were trying to give a message of developing the country in which we got successes´.
Only one day or one week is not enough to expedite such work, he stressed the need to continue the campaign.
Also featured at the programme were chief secretary, secretary at Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, PM´s wife and daughter, executive officer and office-bearers of the Kathmandu Metropolis, artists, media persons, police personnel, Nepal Army personnel nd representatives of different organizations.
