The matches to be held under league cum knockout basis will be organized under the inspection and technical support of Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA).
The top three teams from both the categories will be awarded with medals, certificates and shields. Likewise, the best player and best three pointers will also be awarded.
Gyan Niketan and Valley Public are the defending champions in the boys´ and girls´ categories. The estimated budget for the tournament is Rs 190,000.
Taekwondo championship from Saturday
KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The First Durga Bhawani Taekwondo Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday on the premises of Durga Bhawani School, Dhumbarahi.
Altogether six schools and seven dojangs of the valley will participate in the championship in 19 weight categories. Three hundred players - including boys and girls - will participate in the event.
The opening ceremony will include demonstrations of taekwondo. Taekwondo player Dipsan Karki, the youngest player to receive second dan in taekwondo, will attempt to create a record for operating three ´nunchakus´ at a time.
