Police said two Indian nationals who had brought him to stay at the hotel killed him by using sharp weapon. The two, who had registered at the hotel as Ajay Singh and Bijendra Singh from Lucknow, fled after killing Maniyar, 50.
Inspector Sudhir Shahi at the Ward Police Office said the two were in contact with the victim well before the murder and Maniyar had called the two at his home for lunch even Monday morning. Police suspect that the crime may have been committed due to financial dispute.
