Indian Foreign Secretary Jaishankar in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, Sept 18: Foreign Secretary of India S Jaishankar has arrived in Kathmandu on a two-day visit to Nepal on Friday. He arrived in the capital at 9 am.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent Foreign Secretary Jaishankar as his special envoy to Nepal at a time Nepali is promulgating a new constitution.


The special envoy is scheduled to hold meetings with agitaing Madhesi parties at Dwarika's Hotel based in Battisputali and with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala at 5pm at his office in Singha Durbar today.

He will also hold meetings with President Ram Baran Yadav and various political actors in Nepal during his two-day stay.
