KATHMANDU, Nov 5: India has called on the Government of Nepal to address the ongoing challenges in a spirit of dialogue and reconciliation.

Speaking on the 23rd Session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) in Geneva on Wednesday, India said that Nepal should consolidate the constitution building and democratization process by accommodating all sections of Nepal to ensure broad-based ownership and participation.

"Nepal is facing another tough challenge during the ongoing political transition, problems facing Nepal are political in nature and cannot be resolved through force or a security-based approach," said India responding to Nepal's report.

It further reiterated that obstruction on the Nepalese side has been caused by Nepalese protesters.
