KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Defending Champion India beat Maldives by a solitary goal at the Dasarath Stadium on Monday to enter the final of the Eight SAFF Championship football match.
Arnab Mondal scored the winner for India in the 86th minutes of the match. The match kicked off at 6:30 pm this evening in the capital. India will take on Afghanistan on Friday for the title. India is the five-time winner of the SAFF Championship. India and Afghanistan had also reached the final of the last edition. [break]
Earlier, Afghanistan had defeated Nepal 1-0 to secure a place in the final.
