Impact of Cyclone Phailin seen in Nepal

KATHMANDU, Oct 13: The Weather Forecasting Division of Nepal has said the impact of the Phailin cyclone started from the Bay of Bengal has been seen in Nepal as well.



The impact will cause heavy rains in the eastern and mid-Terai region of Nepal and sporadic rains in Kathmandu valley, said Senior Weather Expert Bidyaratna Shakya. [break]



He said the impact will remain in Nepal for three to four days, but there will be less effect in the western region.



The cyclone will originate from sea and will subside over land. Phailin has affected life in various places of India.



Monsoon will remain here as there will be rain in Nepal´s atmosphere until its impact in Nepal, said Shakya. End of monsoon will be declared after it gets ineffective.
