MYAGDI, June 27: A man has died after being hit by a tipper at the Myagdikhola Hydropower Project area in Ratakhola, Dhaulagiri Rural Municipality-4 of the district this morning.

According to the District Police Office, the tipper (Bap 01-004 Ka 1377) hit a worker of the project. Bhim Bahadur Sarki, 35, a resident of Laljhadi Rural Municipality-4 of Kanchanpur, was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to the Provincial Hospital in Beni for treatment, but was declared dead upon arrival by doctors, shared Police Inspector Sagar Timilsina of the District Police Office.
The tipper driver, Rajesh Ghalan, 30, of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-3 of Makawanpur, has been taken into custody for necessary legal action.
