On Tuesday, June 6, it is hosting a cycle rally called “Cycle-to-Work: Burn Calories, Not Oil.” It is an eco-initiative campaign launched last October. The rally will be flagged off at 7 am from the hotel’s front car park.
The series of events will end on Wednesday, June 6, with a blood donation campaign at the hotel premises from 11 am. The event is open to hotel staff as well as the public.[break]
The press release further states that Hotel Annapurna has been carrying out a number of eco-friendly initiatives under the slogan: Be Green! Go Green! Do Green! Some of its initiatives have been installation of solar and LED lights in public areas, use of emails over writing notes in offices, cleaner diesel instead of furnace oil in boilers, avoidance of plastic bags, rainwater harvesting, options provided to guests whether to have their bed linen/towels laundered everyday or not, and use of an electric car by the hotel’s sales and marketing team for their daily sales rounds.
The hotel’s future expansion plan is to incorporate further eco-friendly infrastructure and practices extensively.
