Hospital staff on strike

BIRGUNJ, Aug 9: Staffs affiliated to the Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital Employees Union Unit Committee, Birgunj have warned of going on a strike if their 12-point demand is not met in the next three days.



We have been forced to resort to a strike after the Hospital Administration failed to address our concerns despite repeated requests, the Union Secretary Santosh Kumar Singh said.



As part of the protest program, the Union would begin with tying of black bands on August 11, a one hour padlocking of the Hospital Administration from August 12 to 14 and then fast-onto-death starting August 16, according to Singh.
