Home ministry transfers 30 SSPs

KATHMANDU, Sept 26: The home ministry transferred 30 senior superintendents of police (SSPs) on Sunday in a major reshuffle in the police force after new Deputy Prime Minister and Home  Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar assumed office last month.



Rabiraj Shrestha has been transferred to the Metropolitan Police Commissioner’s Office, Rani Pokhari, while Devendra Subedi has replaced Rana Bahadur Chand as chief of the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Hanumakdhoka. Chand has been transferred to the operation department of the police headquarters. [break]



Likewise, Prem Bahadur Chand has been transferred to the secretariat of National Security Council, Lava Bista to the Tribhuvan International Airport security guards and Gopal Prasad Bhandari to the training school of the police headquarters.



Similarly, Hemanta Pal has been transferred to Mechi, Ramesh Phuyal to Koshi, Govinda Niraula to Sagarmatha, Madhav Joshi to Janakpur, Pashupati Upadhaya to Bagmati, Pankaj Shrestha to Narayani, Bam Bahadur Bhandari to Lumbini, Romendra Singh to Gandaki, Laxman Neupane to Dhaulagiri, Dhananda Bhatta to Rapti, Madhav Nepal to Bheri, Suresh KC to Karnali, Bijaya Bhatta to Seti and Sudip Acharya to Mahakali.
