Speaking at a security meeting of nine districts in the central region today, Minister Ghimire said the election environment has much improved with high security.

He went on to say that only the CA elections will ensure the people’s rights including civilian supremacy, citizens’ rights, and political rights of the parties.

The political parties are only the agents of the constitution while the responsibility of providing security rests with the government.

He stated that the government is doing homework to provide high security to over 12,200,000 voters and their representatives. He is confident that the election will be held successfully with joint efforts made by Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, Election Commission, and the government.

With the central security policy in place, it would not be difficult to arrange security in the regional, district and local levels, he added.
