Hearing on Kansakar's case begins

KATHMANDU, April 18: The Special Court has begun hearing on the corruption case involving the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) officials, including its suspended executive chairman Sugat Ratna Kansakar.

Concluding that Kansakar and five other officials embezzled Rs 57.3 million in sending non-refundable money to Airbus Company by flouting Public Procurement Act, the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) had filed a case against them at the Special Court on December 25.
