The final rites of Haque were performed on Friday only after Home Minister Madhav Prasad Ghimire pledged to take action against the murderer of former lawmaker Sadarul Miya. [break]
The relatives and supporters of Miya, who resorted to launch struggle bringing the vehicular movement to a grinding halt with a demand for fair investigation into the incident, have cremated his dead body at Kalyanpur-2.
The Home Minister reached the house of Haque at Kalyanpur VDC-2 and offered floral tribute to the mortal remains of Miya and expressed condolence to the grief-stricken family members.
Minister Ghimire, who talked to the bereaved family members for around 15-minutes, said that the government would not leave any stones unturned to book and take action against the guilty.
The mourning procession was attended by leaders of Muslim communities from Nepal and India.
They have called for all the protest programmes after Minister Ghimire made the commitment to take action against the individuals involved im the murder of Miya, said Sadarul Miya Struggle Committee and former Minister Mrigendra Kumar Singh.
