Altogether 21 golfers are trying to cross the hurdle of the Qualifying School.

Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA) came up with the idea of Qualifying School for the first time for Surya Nepal Golf Tour. Earlier, NPGA used to allow amateurs to turn pro and participate in the Surya Nepal Golf Tour but from now onwards every aspiring pro golfer must come through the Qualifying School to be a member of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour and to participate in professional golf tournaments.

Players finishing in the top 5 after 54 holes will earn the pro-card, additionally players who are not in top 5 but have score 18 over par for 54 holes will also earn pro-card.
