Gurung clocked 2 minutes 14.56 seconds in the heat round on Monday to finish 68th among 69 swimmers in the event. Gurung had set a national record of 2 minutes 13.84 seconds at an event held in Kathmandu a month ago. Gurung is yet to participate in the men´s 100m freestyle event.
