KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The government has decided to open agencies involved in market inspection even during public holidays.
The 28th meeting of the Central Monitoring and Analyzing Committee, chaired by Officiating Chief Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota, held on Wednesday took the decision.[break]
At the meeting, officials of the Ministry of Commerce and Supplies, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Ministry of Agriculture Development presented their respective working papers on Supply Management and Monitoring, Transport Management, and Food Supply.
The meeting also decided to open fair price shops along with mobile shops in different parts of the Kathmandu Valley and other district. It also decided to open citizen service centre in different transport points and enhance regular and effective market monitoring to discourage black-marketeering.
Meanwhile, officials of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) have vowed to help government in easing supply of essential commodities during the festive season.
