Gold sets new record of Rs 60,200 per tola

KATHMANDU, Sept 5: The price of gold has set a new record on Wednesday. The precious yellow metal which was traded at Rs 60,000 per tola (11.664 gram), a day earlier has been traded at Rs 60,200 per tola in the domestic market today.



Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association (Negosida), which fixes gold and silver prices in Nepal, attributed gold price surge to rise in prices of the precious metal in the international bullion market.[break]



The price of silver which was Rs 1,154 per tola in the local market has increased by Rs 5 and is fixed at Rs 1,159 per tola in the domestic market today.
