Gold prices dip as silver rises

The price of hallmarked gold was set at Rs 273,900 per tola on Tuesday. On Monday, gold had traded at Rs 275,500 per tola.

KATHMANDU, March 24: Gold prices fell in the local market on Tuesday, while silver prices rose. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), gold dropped by Rs 1,600 per tola today.

The price of hallmarked gold was set at Rs 273,900 per tola on Tuesday. On Monday, gold had traded at Rs 275,500 per tola.


While gold prices declined, silver gained. Silver, which traded at Rs 4,425 per tola on Monday, rose by Rs 80 on Tuesday to reach Rs 4,505 per tola, FENEGOSIDA said.
