Four killed in road accidents

KOHALPUR, May 10: Four persons were killed in two separate accidents on Friday.



Motorcyclist Hari Prasad Chaudhary, 46, of Dang and Dharma Raj Gadariya, 22 of Ganapur VDC, who was riding a bicycle, were hit by a speeding bus at Piparahawa along the Nepalgunj-Kohalpur road section, said the police. Gadariya died on the spot while Chaudhary breathed his last while being rushed to the hospital. [break]



The locals obstructed vehicular movement along the road section for two hours following the incident demanding compensation. Meanwhile, two persons died in a motorcycle accident at Shreepur, Sunsari along East-West highway on Friday.



The motorcycle (Ko 14 Pa 7339) lost its control and met with the accident, said the police. The deceased have been identified as Nimesh Rai, 26, of Basaha VDC in Udayapur and Milan Katawal of Itahari.
