Former royals in Dhangadhi to dole out flood relief

DHANGADHI, July 22: Former King Gyanendra Shah along with his family members arrived in Dhangadhi to dole out relief packages to the victims of last month´s flooding.



Thousands of people gathered in Dhangadhi to welcome the former king and former queen Komal. Former Crown princess Himani Shah, her son Hridayendra and daughter Sitashma are accompanying the former king and queen. [break]



The formal royals accompanied by their assistants landed at Dhangadhi airport through a Buddha Air plight on Monday afternoon. The former royalties were presented bouquets by well-wishers. Royal supporters had chanted “King Come, save the Nation” among other slogans.



Phani Raj Pathak, the secretary of former king, informed that the formal royals are scheduled to visit Darchula, Kanchanpur and Tikapur. “Former king and queen will visit Darchula on July 23rd and Tikapur on 25th to distribute relief to the flood victims,” said Pathak.
