FNJ suspends Parsa president

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) on Thursday suspended a district president and a district committee member for three months.



Ashok Tiwari, the president of Parsa district and member Brijlal Paswan were suspended on charges of using fake signatures to open bank account.



A secretariat meeting on Thursday took the decision.



A probe committee headed by FNJ Central Committee member Mahesh Das had recommended disciplinary action against them.



Tiwari and Paswan opened a bank account for FNJ Parsa violating the Section 30 (D) of FNJ Stature, a statement signed by FNJ General Secretary Om Sharma stated.
