Five vehicles seized for evading customs

BUTWAL, April 18: Police have seized five vehicles imported from India without paying customs duty. According to Traffic Police Office, Butwal, the seized vehicles include a Scorpio jeep (Ba 4 Cha 6967), a Maruti car ( Ba 4 Cha 6859) and a Hyundai Santro car (Ba 3 Cha 3523). One Pulsar motorcycle ( Lu 3 Pa 2558) and a Hero Honda Splendor motorcycle(Lu 3 Pa 1520) are also among the vehicles seized for evading customs duty.



Deputy Traffic Police Inspector Janak Bhattarai said that they would send the seized vehicles to the customs after necessary investigations. Police intensified checking as the tendency to evade customs duty while importing vehicles is on the rise.
