Fire guts property worth around Rs 10 m in Baglung

BALEWA (Baglung) Dec 22: Property worth around Rs 10 million was gutted when a food manufacturing factory caught fire in Baglung district Monday night.

Factory owner Yam Prasad Kandel said that machines, raw materials and cash were destroyed by the fire.


The factory closed at 7:00 pm and they came to know about the incident only at midnight, added Kandel. Although the Nepalese Army, Nepal Police and locals took initiative to bring the fire under control from the night, it could be doused only this morning.

Reason behind the fire has yet to be ascertained. A fire occurred at the factory last year too, it is stated. RSS
