Factories gutted in Satungal

KATHMANDU, May 18: Two factories at Satungal were destroyed in a massive fire on Tuesday evening.



The fire had broken out at Roben Foam Factory and Balaju Mattress Factory at around 8 p.m. The fire was still out of control as of 9:30 p.m. while fire brigades from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur continued to battle the flames.



No causalities were reported in the incident. The loss caused is not known.



"The fire is continuing. But the factories appear to have completely been destroyed," Republica correspondent Bikash Karki told from the incident site.
