The seven-day expo showcases six different types of houses ranging from prefab to mud and bamboo houses.

“We have put a mud house on display at the expo. It can be built in just five days by using five workers and locally available materials,” Bikram Acharya, a member of a team of 20 students of IOE, which prepared the design of the house, told Republica. “Mud, straw, bamboo and corrugated roofing sheets are the materials used in the house.”
