Police said the murders took place at the same time and stated that the murders were aimed at spreading terror and fear. The murdered priests have been identified as Muktiprasad Pokharel, priest of a Shivalaya Temple at Baachi, and Tarananda Paudel Giri of Sannyas Ashram at Harirar Gufa. The police said that 60-year-old Pokharel was disabled while 85-year-old Paudel was blind. Both were killed by using sharp weapons, said DSP Tulasi Adhikari.
