Don't pay PLA attending plenum: NC gen-secy

NAWALPARASI, Nov 26: Nepali Congress (NC) General Secretary Prakash Man Singh said that the government should not pay to the People´s Liberation Army (PLA) combatants participating in the Maoist plenum at Palungtar of Gorkha.



Speaking at a programme in Kawasoti of Nawalparasi, NC leader Singh said that as the combatants have in principally come under the Special Committee, the state should stop the salary of those fighters attending the plenum.[break]



He said that Congress has been working for peace and constitution writing, and new government formation as political instability has been increasing in the country. The nation has become government less due to the Unified CPN (Maoist) and the CPN-UML, he claimed.



He stressed for managing Maoist combatants, dismantling paramilitary structure of YCL and returning the captured property and flayed the Maoist party for not implementing the past agreements.
