Organizing a press meet in Pokhara on Sunday, the host informed that seven A division teams and a team each of host Sahara and Simara will be participating in the annual tournament.Ruslan Three Star Club, Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club, APF Club, Tribhuvan Army Club, Nepal Police Club, Jawalakhel Youth Club and Rumpum Jhapa XI are the A division clubs, while Navajagriti Youth Club of Simira and host Sahara Club are the other domestic clubs taking part in the tournament.
Sahara Club's President Bir Bhadra Acharya informed that 12 teams in total will take part in the tournament. The remaining three teams are foreign clubs- one each from India, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
"We have invited teams from India, Bangladesh and Bhutan and their participation will be confirmed in a few days. We believe participation of teams from abroad will help create favorable environment for the game," Acharya added.
The host is also planning to increase the prize money of the tournament which is yet to be announced. The top two finishers of the last edition bagged Rs 351,000 and Rs 201,000 respectively. "We have planned to increase the prize money with the view of motivating players," said Acharya.
Similarly, the club has planned to lure spectators announcing prizes for them as well. The club has announced that one lucky spectator will get a gold coin of one tola and the other gift hamper for a lucky viewer is a TV set.
