Speaking to Republica, CDO Pokharel said, "We are in the process of forming an ´election cell´ for holding the elections in free and fair manner." He added that the cell constitutes deputy superintendent of police Surendra Prasad Kafle, Mahendra Maharjan from Charikot barracks of Nepal Army, and staffs from Election Commission and other security officials. Pokharel maintained that Assistant CDO Madhav Adhikari was appointed as secretary of the election cell. "We are all prepared to hold the November polls peacefully," he said maintaining that they would leave no stone unturned for maintaining security at polling stations.
