The agitating health workers had padlocked Bhandari´s office on Thursday. Several students were injured in the skirmishes with the police while they were trying to padlock her office. [break]
The doctors halted outdoor patient services from 10 to 11am on Friday as well.

"We will continue our protest program until our demands are met," Dr Srijana Shrestha, head of the department of Child Health Division and a member of the struggle committee, said. She said that they will continue their sit-in to prevent the VC and the Rector from entering their offices on Sunday and Monday as well.
She said that if the demands of the protesting doctors were not addressed before Tihar festivals, the struggle committee will organize stringent protests.
Unhappy over the government decision to appoint of Dr Saumya Bhattacharya as the rector of Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), doctors, students and health workers of Patan Hospital have been launching a series of protest program since the past one month demanding resignation of the VC and the rector.
