Amid a press meet organized by Koshish Nepal in the capital on Thursday. Also the Chairperson of the organization, Devkota was conferred the award in Mumbi, India on October 10.[break]
Devkota said the award carrying the purse of 50,000 US dollars will be used in the activities to eliminate malpractices and anomalies in the sector of mental health.
Chairman Devkota himself had suffered mental disease when he was 15 but was medicated only after 10 years. According to him, mental disease was one of the challenges of these days and a reason behind growing suicide.
The Sahash Nepal established in 2008 has been working on mental health.
