“This is something dangerous and unfortunate. The audiotape case must be investigated independently,” he added.
Meanwhile, Nepal Sadbhawana Party and Nepal Tarun Dal, a sister organization of NC, have also demanded probe into the audiotape case.
Issuing a press statement, the NSP said the audiotape case was a ´serious´ and ´dangerous´ and part of the conspiracy being hatched to destroy democratic parliamentary system in Nepal.
It is unfortunate, sorrowful and regrettable to find the UCPN (Maoist), which has not been honest toward pluralism and multiparty democracy, begging money with neighboring friend for influencing the election of prime minister, NSP has said.
The party has also sought independent probe into the ´audiotape´ to check whether it is authentic.
Likewise, Nepal Tarun Dal said the alleged incident of the UCPN (Maoist) begging for Rs 500 million with ´Chinese official´ had brought shame to all Nepalis. “Nepal Tarun Dal strongly condemns this serious misdeed,” said a Tarun Dal statement.
Tarun Dal has also asked Speaker Subas Nembang to form parliamentary probe committee to investigate into the whole episode and bring the truth to light.
