Man-of-the-match Dangol scored his first in the 36th and the second in the 41st minute through header as he utilized crosses from Olawale Afeez on the both occasions.
Naresh Paswan scored in the 50th minute for Lalbandi to pull down RCT’s lead to 3-1 but Dangol completed his hat-trick in the 72nd minute to make it 4-1.
Dangol received a pass from Dipesh Thapa Magar at the edge of the danger area and smartly shot it into the net in the 84th minute for his fourth.
Resham Rana scored the sixth goal for RCT in the last minute of regular time.
Lalbandi finished with 10 men as Bikram Lama got marching order in the dying moment of the march after two bookable offences.
RCT coach Baiju Kapali said that his team could not put up expected performance despite pulling a huge margin victory. “Strikers did their job and midfielders also up to a standard. However, we had expected still better performance,” he said.
Lalbandi coach Arjun Kumar Chaudhary said that his team is yet not prepared to face an ‘A’ division club though his club is good enough to compete against district level teams. “Our boys were physically tender in front of them and faced tough time as they had physically tough players including foreigners,” said Chaudhary.
RCT will take on Birgunj Youth Academy in the quarterfinal on Sunday while ANFA Academy U-17 team will lock horns with Sahara Club, Pokhara on Saturday.
