Dalit girl gets financial support for education

SURKHET, Oct 3: Tej Bahadur Pariyar, a businessman from Chitawan-11, has provided a Dalit girl who was denied admission in a nursing college Rs 55,000.



Laxmi Pariyar had been denied admission at Surkhet Education Development Academy (SEDA) even after passing entrance examinations as her father was not able to afford Rs 144,000 for her admission.[break]



 Her father is a tailor by profession. Similarly, some other institutions and individuals have also provided her financial support.



 "I am thankful to everyone who helped me," said Laxmi.
